The Uruian Encyclopedia

A collection of terms, groups, and notes about the game world.

  • Markum's Merchants: weapons manufacturers, double M insignia for their logo.
  • Mythril: A material with magical properties. It naturally resists the effects of Orific Energy.
  • Orific Energy: The unearthly energy that fills the world on the other side of the gate. This energy is extremely dangerous to an unprotected mortal and can cause insanity, magical mutations, and other life threatening problems in a mere hour. Mythril shielding can protect a ship or transport from the effects.
  • Orific Suit A plugsuit that can be used by someone with a high innate resistance to Orific Energy to enter a portal.
  • Cetra The ancients, the ones who created the portals.
  • Black Organ Orbs found in the Gate world. They isolate the gate they're in from the rest of the gates, and destabilize the gates nearby.
  • Lost Gates Hidden, secret, “Lost” Gates that are isolated from the others.
  • Horo Horo: Mascot-like creatures with cute faces, shockingly huge and powerful despite their appearance. End everything they say with “horo horo”.

Seekers

The Adventurer's Guild in Uru. Adventurers get a rank assigned to them from F to S and the guild assigns the same rank to missions. Adventurers are only allowed to take on missions of their rank or lower. Seekers are assigned badges that are mostly recognized across Uru. While Seekers aren't an official law enforcement agency, some of their jobs involve collecting bounties and it's not unusual to see them fighting or dealing with criminals.

The Agency

A secret organization formed by the Headmistress of the Regalian Academy, Genevieve Larue. The Agency is focused on research around Black Organs and the Lost Gates. The organization has recruited various specialists and adventurers to drive the investigation. The Agency is hidden within the Regalian Academy and has assets like their own gate capable airship and contacts with various organization around the world.
