Regalia

An island city state that is entirely reliant on it's Gate for sustaining itself. Regalia is a Magocracy, the Regalian Academy of Magic also runs the city. Most residents of the city are related to the Academy in one way or another, either studying, working, or supporting those who do. The Academy is one of the largest repositories of knowledge in the world, but it's lost any sway in the international community as that's all it has to offer.
