Holy Kingdom : City built around the eternal ruler, constantly reborn, holy kingdom
Dunova: Nation of mostly sea faring mercenaries that frequently harass other. City state, water logged cites
: Northern tech heavy kingdom, they pay off the Dunova to not annoy them, they blow out the side a mountain to build their big city. Large Gate to enter by land.
Olcressia: Kingdom run by competing mafia families, each family is tied to different external countries, art and cultural capital of the world.
: Very dangerous lands they live in, they're in arms race with dragons and other creatures that inhabit the lands so they have large armies and are well together.

Event: A new religion worshipping the lost gate Heaven's Gate
Historical Event: The united world defeated the monster, and the kingdoms split up when one kingdom tried to use a gate to conquer another, knowledge was lost.
Transportation Guild that manages portals and guide through it, decentralized. Portals are taken for granted as a fact of the world, no one knows how to “fix” them. Travel not through the guild is dangerous, non guild ships aren't trusted coming through portals.
